What transport services do we offer to and from London?
We drive you door to door between London and continental Europe, in both directions:

It is the journey from London to Paris by car, without driving: our licensed, English-speaking drivers pick you up at any address, airport, train station or seaport and take you through the Channel Tunnel to your door. You can book a day, a week or several months ahead.
Can I travel between Paris and London with my dog or cat?
Yes. Pets are not allowed on Eurostar trains, but your dog or cat can travel with you in our car, in its carrier, door to door through the Channel Tunnel. We hold a Type 2 UK Animal Transporter Authorisation (no. UK/REIGA/T2/00114987) issued by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA). The two vehicles we use for pets, a VW Passat SW (up to 3 passengers) and a VW Caravelle van (up to 8 passengers), are inspected and approved for animal transport by NSF Certification UK. The Channel Tunnel operator only accepts pet transport companies that hold both.
When you book, give us each pet's name and microchip number, which are checked at the Channel crossing. The Channel Tunnel pet fee, €29 per pet and per crossing, is added to the price. Can I add stops or detours between London and Paris?
Yes. When you book, you can add up to 8 stops or detours and say how long you want to stay at each. At the end of the booking, you see the all-inclusive price, covering the detours and the waiting time.
Short comfort stops for a snack, a restroom break or a walk for your dog are free and do not need to be booked. Longer stops are charged as waiting time: €70 per hour for an SW, sedan or minivan and €90 per hour for a van, by the quarter hour.
How much does a taxi between London and Paris cost?
A private transfer between central London and central Paris costs about €765 by VW Passat SW (up to 3 passengers) and about €841 by VW Caravelle van (up to 8 passengers), which is about €105 per person when 8 people share the van. The price is the same in both directions, and the drive takes about 5 hours 50 minutes, including the 35-minute Channel Tunnel crossing.
Included in the price:
- The price is per vehicle, not per passenger, and is fixed when you book: traffic and Channel crossing delays do not change it. Pick-ups late at night or very early in the morning may be priced higher
- All taxes, service fees, road tolls and parking
- Booster seats and child seats, free of charge

Can I modify my booking?
Yes - modifications are free of charge: the date of the pick-up, the addresses, the route and stops, or the number of passengers. Changing the pick-up time is free too, unless the new time is late at night or very early in the morning, which may increase the price slightly.
As our prices are based on distance, changing an address or adding a detour may increase or decrease the distance, and therefore the total price. If a new date or time changes the price of your Channel Tunnel ticket, or LeShuttle charges a change fee, we invoice it at cost. Just let us know by email, or by phone if your transfer is about to start. For our cancellation policy, please see the FAQ below.
What types of vehicles can I book?
We offer a range of vehicles to suit your needs:
- Sedan - comfortable for up to 3 passengers
- Station Wagon (SW) - ideal for 3 passengers, with extra luggage space for 5 medium-sized suitcases
- Minivan/MPV - our premium choice for up to 4 passengers, with a large luggage trunk that holds up to 7 medium-sized suitcases
- Van - for up to 8 passengers, with an extra-large luggage trunk that holds up to 12 medium-sized suitcases; the lowest price per person for groups
Travelling with a pet? Choose the Station Wagon (VW Passat SW) or the Van (VW Caravelle): they are our two vehicles approved for animal transport.
Do I need a passport and an ETA to travel between Paris and London?
Yes. There are passport controls between France and the UK, and both the French and the UK checks take place at the Channel Tunnel terminal before you board: in Calais when you travel to London, and in Folkestone when you travel to Paris. When you book, we need each passenger's passport details for the Advance Passenger Information required at the border.
If you are not a British or Irish citizen, you also need a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) - including children and babies. Travellers who hold a valid UK visa or UK immigration status do not need one.
- What it is: a digital travel permission (not a visa) linked to your passport. You must travel with the same passport you used to apply.
- How to apply: on the official UK ETA app or the gov.uk website, for a small fee. Most decisions arrive within minutes, but apply at least 3 working days before your trip.
- Validity: 2 years, or until your passport expires, for multiple stays of up to 6 months each.
- Without an ETA, the Channel Tunnel and ferry operators refuse boarding, and we cannot take you across the Channel.
If you need a visa to visit the UK, apply for a visa instead of an ETA. Apply only on the official gov.uk ETA page or app, as unofficial sites charge extra fees.
Travelling from London to Paris? Passengers with a non-EU passport, including British passports, may have to register their fingerprints and photo for the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) at the Folkestone terminal before departure. We allow extra time for it.

Enjoy one hour of free waiting time for airport or train station pickups. If you are delayed for more than an hour at passport control or baggage claim, simply call your driver and no additional charge will apply.

MEET AND GREET
Your driver will meet you at the airport or train station, holding a nameplate with your name (or any inscription you prefer). They will also help you load your luggage.

We accept all major payment methods: PayPal or credit card online prepayment, or cash and credit card paid directly to your driver. Bank transfer is available for travel agencies and other travel-industry professionals.

For up to 3 passengers, choose the station wagon or sedan, or the Executive (Mercedes C-Class) for a more upmarket ride; on long journeys, we recommend no more than 3 passengers in these cars, for comfort. For a group of 4, choose the more spacious premium Minivan; for 5 to 8 passengers, the Van, which also gives the lowest price per person. Pets travelling to or from the UK ride only in the station wagon or the Van, our two vehicles approved for animal transport.
Our Fares and Prices
How do we calculate the total price for our long-distance taxis and transfers?
We follow a simple principle: the longer the distance, the lower the price per mile or kilometre. Our standard rate is based on the fastest route calculated by Google Maps between your departure and arrival points. For one-way journeys, the total distance also includes the return trip to our base in central Paris.

Conversion rates:
1 kilometre = 0.6214 mile
1 mile = 1.609 kilometres
Please note: the minimum distance for a booking is 30 km (19 mi). For shorter distances, a fixed price applies.
We offer three types of tariff:
1. One-way: standard rate based on distance, per kilometre or mile. The total distance includes the return to our base in Paris.
2. Same-day return: pay only the outward fare plus a waiting charge for every 15 minutes; the return trip is free. This is the most economical option if you travel to and from the same destination on the same day. The return drop-off address must be anywhere in the Paris region.
3. Return on another day: multiply the one-way fare by two.
Waiting charges:
If you need a taxi or transfer with waiting time or multiple stops - for example, travelling to one city or address where we wait for you before continuing to the next destination - a waiting charge is added to your fare. Waiting charges are quoted per hour, but you pay for every quarter of an hour you use. The waiting rates are: Sedan / Station Wagon (SW) / Minivan: €70 per hour; Van: €90 per hour.
Please note: short comfort stops of up to 15 minutes along your route - for example, a restroom break or a quick snack at a motorway service station we are already passing - are free of charge. Longer stops, or stops where the driver waits while you visit a place, are subject to the waiting charge described above.
Travel to and from the United Kingdom
For journeys to and from the UK, the price shown on our instant quote and booking form does not include the Eurotunnel or ferry ticket, nor the pet fee if you travel with an animal. The total cost of this transfer has a fixed part for our transport service and a variable part for the Eurotunnel or ferry crossing. A deposit equal to the crossing ticket price is required. Long-Distance Taxi and Pet Taxi Prices To and From London

Our prices are the same in both directions, and the same on weekdays, weekends and public holidays. Travel times and prices are calculated from city centre to city centre, so the price shown in the booking form may be slightly higher or lower, depending on your exact pick-up and drop-off points.

Crossing the Channel Between London and Paris: Eurotunnel and Border Controls
How long does it take to cross the Channel between London and Paris?
Between London and Paris, we cross the Channel through the Eurotunnel (LeShuttle) between Folkestone and Calais: it is faster than the ferry, and as our prices are based on distance, you pay for the ride, not for waiting time at a port. A ferry crossing between Dover and Calais is possible on request, for trips without pets.
The crossing itself takes 35 minutes. LeShuttle asks drivers to arrive at the terminal 1 to 2 hours before departure, and at least 90 minutes before with a pet, so allow about 2 hours in total for the Channel crossing, including check-in and border controls.
What happens at the Channel Tunnel terminal?
- Check-in: your driver checks in at the booth with your booking. You do not need to do anything.
- Pet Reception: if you travel with a pet, you present it with its documents, and its microchip is scanned.
- Border controls: the French and UK passport checks both take place at the departure terminal, in Calais when you travel to London and in Folkestone when you travel to Paris. Keep your passports and your UK ETA at hand. When you travel from London to Paris, passengers with a non-EU passport may also have to register their fingerprints and photo for the EU Entry/Exit System (EES).
- Boarding: boarding starts 25 minutes before departure. You and your pet stay in the car during the 35-minute crossing, and you can get out to stretch your legs.
- Arrival: we drive straight off the shuttle onto the motorway towards your address in London or Paris.
What passenger information do we need when you book?
To buy your Channel Tunnel ticket, we must give LeShuttle the Advance Passenger Information (API) of every passenger, including children. You cannot travel without it. For each passenger, we need:
- full name, gender, date of birth and nationality
- type of travel document (usually a passport), its number, issuing country and expiry date
If you travel with a pet, we also need its name and microchip number, which are checked at the Pet Reception.
Pet Taxi Paris to London: Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take my dog or cat on the Eurostar from Paris to London?
No. Eurostar does not accept pets on its trains between Paris and London, except guide and assistance dogs and cats. Pets also cannot fly into the UK in the cabin. The simplest way to travel from Paris to London with your dog or cat is by car through the Channel Tunnel: our driver picks you up at your door, hotel or airport in Paris and drives you and your pet to your address in London.
How much does a pet taxi from Paris to London cost?
A private transfer between central Paris and central London costs about €765 by VW Passat SW (up to 3 passengers) and about €841 by VW Caravelle van (up to 8 passengers), which is about €105 per person when 8 people share the van. LeShuttle fares change with the season, the day and the time of departure: a one-way Standard ticket for a car starts from about £124 (about €145) on off-peak dates, such as winter weekdays outside the Christmas holidays, and can reach £229 (about €270) or more during the summer and Christmas holidays. A ticket for the van costs more, because LeShuttle classes it as a large vehicle. We tell you the exact price when you book.
3. The London Congestion Charge, if your address in London is inside the charging zone.
How long does the drive from Paris to London take?
The drive takes about 5 hours 50 minutes, including the 35-minute Channel Tunnel crossing. With a pet, allow about 7 hours door to door, because you check your pet in at the Pet Reception in Calais and we arrive at the terminal at least 90 minutes before departure. Short stops so your dog can walk and drink are free.
Can you pick us up at Charles de Gaulle airport with our pet?
Yes. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall at Charles de Gaulle (CDG) or Orly (ORY) with a nameplate, helps with your luggage and your pet's carrier, and drives you to London. Give us your flight number when you book: if your flight is late, there is no extra charge, and your driver waits for one hour after landing at no cost. Many owners moving to the UK from the USA fly to Paris with their pet in the cabin and continue with us by car, because pets cannot fly into the UK in the cabin. See the documents your pet needs.
Do you also offer a pet taxi from London to Paris?
Yes. We pick you up with your dog or cat at any address in London and drive you to any address in Paris, to Disneyland Paris or to a Paris airport. In this direction, you travel in the car with your pet, because the Channel Tunnel does not accept pets travelling from Folkestone to Calais without their owner. If you live in the UK, your pet needs an animal health certificate issued by a UK vet no more than 10 days before you reach France.
Are you authorised to transport pets to the UK?
Yes. We hold a Type 2 UK Animal Transporter Authorisation (no. UK/REIGA/T2/00114987) issued by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), valid until 15 April 2030. Our VW Passat SW and VW Caravelle van are inspected and approved for animal transport by NSF Certification UK. The Channel Tunnel operator requires both from pet transport companies. Will I incur any extra charges if my plane is delayed?
No, we monitor your flight's progress and will adjust your vehicle's arrival time accordingly, ensuring there are no extra charges for delays.
What if my flight or train delay is more than one hour?
We understand that sometimes it could happen. If you anticipate that your flight or train will be delayed by more than an hour, please notify us as soon as possible via e-mail, SMS, or phone call. Depending on vehicle availability, we can either reschedule the start of our service to a later time or cancel it without any penalty.
Are taxes, tolls and parking fees included in the price?
All taxes, bridge and road tolls, and parking fees are included in the instant online quotes provided on our website - except Eurotunnel or ferry tickets for journeys to and from the UK, which are invoiced separately at cost. For transfers between the UK and continental Europe, please make your booking at least 48 hours before the pick-up time.
What is your cancellation policy?
We will accept any cancellation without a fine if you make it at least 24 hours before the pickup.
No-show: A 100% charge applies if you do not show up for the transfer.
Cancellations must be communicated via email or phone, especially if the transfer is imminent.
Channel Tunnel tickets: we buy your LeShuttle ticket in advance, and whether it can be refunded depends on the ticket type. The Standard ticket, which we book unless you ask otherwise, is not refundable: only its date and time can be changed before departure, and LeShuttle may charge a change fee or a fare difference. If you cancel, the price of a Standard ticket is not refunded, even when the ride itself is cancelled free of charge. If you want to be able to cancel, ask us for a FlexiPlus ticket: it can be changed free of charge and is fully refunded if cancelled no later than the day of travel, but it costs more (from about £284 each way for a car).
Can I book a transfer now and make changes or add a stop later?
Yes, you can request changes to your booking via email. If the transfer is imminent, please call us directly. Changes to your itinerary can be made free of charge. However, please note that any modifications to the route may affect the distance and, consequently, the price. Moving the pick-up to late at night or very early in the morning may also increase the price slightly.
What happens if the car I booked is unavailable?
When you book an Economy class car, we reserve the right to provide a similar or upgraded vehicle if your selected car is unavailable. If we upgrade your vehicle for this reason, the price stays the same. The price changes only if you ask for a higher class of vehicle yourself. For a trip with a pet, the replacement is always one of our two vehicles approved for animal transport.
When will I receive confirmation of my booking?
You will receive three emails confirming your booking:
1. Initial Confirmation: An automatic email confirming that your booking has been recorded by our system.
2. Booking Acceptance: An email from our manager confirming that your booking has been accepted.
3. Driver Assignment: Once a driver has been assigned to your journey, you will receive an email with the driver's name, phone number, and photo.
For your first booking on our website, you will also receive a welcome email with your login and password.
What should I do if I haven't received confirmation and my transfer is starting soon?
First, check your spam folder. If you don't find the confirmation email there, please call us at +33 7 82 30 62 95 and we will assist you promptly.
